These bamboo test tubes provide your ants with a more natural home compared to traditional test tubes. The different chambers allow the ants to manage humidity which in turn will benefit the colonies growth. Each of the tubes feature a refillable water reservoir which provides a more permanent setup. These tubes are ideal for founding colonies, slower growing species of ants and ants that don’t grow into large colonies.

Description

SIZES: 

150mm x 15mm: Designed for small sized ants with colonies up to 50 workers at the max.

200mm x 20mm: Designed for larger colonies of small ants or small colonies of medium sized ants.

200mm x 30mm: Designed for large colonies of small ants, medium sized colonies of medium sized ants or small colonies of large ants.

 

Small Ants: Iridomyrmex, Pheidole, etc. Any ants with workers under 5mm of length and with queens under 10mm of length.

Medium Ants: Smaller Myrmecia, Camponotus, etc. Any ants under 20mm as that is the width of the test tube. Ants 20mm in length or larger may have trouble turning around in the tube.

Large Ants: Myrmecia, Larger Camponotus such as Consobrinus, etc. Any ants 20mm in length or just a bit over.
